Start with
The Torridge Lifestyle Programme
Participants are introduced through a 12-week online programme led by healthcare professionals.
You can be signposted to this if you are registered with a GP Surgery in Torridge.
To do this, please contact your GP surgery and ask for a referral to the PCN Weight Management Team, or email: d-icb.tlp.nhs.net
Step 2
Learn to Cook It
Our cookery sessions bring the programme to life:
- Hands-on cooking
- Real meals you’ll actually make at home
- Practical understanding of low carb ingredients
- Every meal is cooked together in real time
- We end each cook-a-long by sharing the meal together around the farmhouse table
Step 3
Ongoing support
We offer continued sessions for:
- Newly diagnosed individuals
- Those who didn’t complete the programme
- Anyone needing support getting back on track

Intro to Low Carb (Drop-In)
A bi-monthly beginner session designed to help you get started.
Includes:
- Introduction to the low carb approach
- Cooking demonstration
- Understanding key ingredients and swaps
Start Your Low Carb Journey
Join a session and begin building practical, sustainable habits in the kitchen.

Blood Pressure Medications
If you follow this approach and take medication for high blood pressure, please watch for any light headedness. If you have any concerns, please request an appointment with your surgery's clinical pharmacist.
Diabetes Medications
If you plan to follow this approach and take any of the following medications, please contact your surgery's Clinical pharmacist for a medication review: Dapagliflozin, Canaglofozin, Empaglifozin, or Insulin. If you have any concerns, please request an appointment with your surgery's clinical pharmacist.
